One of the most challenging and inspiring books I’ve read is A Million Miles in a Thousand Years by Donald Miller.

This book brings to light the idea that you are right now living a story with your life. You are the leading actor/actress in your life story, you have the ability to choose which story you live, rather than just letting your life story happen to  you. Slash he is one of the best memoir authors that I’ve ever come across.

So funny!

For those of you who aren’t familiar with church humor…this is not going to be very funny.

For me, I was raised in a church…so when I saw this…I laughed alot! Instead of having a curse jar in my house I want a ‘christianese’ jar and anytime of these words are said $1 goes in the jar!

Every time I’m stuck in my car for a long period of time and start getting bored I pull out the indie playlists on my ipod and begin daydreaming of what my life would be like if I would have pursued one of the many instruments that I tried my hand at when I was young. Little Michaja attempted almost all instruments you could think of from recorder….to saxophone. Unfortunately, none of them really stuck.

Even though lady gaga has my heart, I really think if I would have pursued one of my musical dreams I would have a voice like sara bareilles and rock the keys like Jamie Cullum…Can you picture it now! I think I missed my calling…
